Appointment of New Chief Executive Officer

Vancouver, British Columbia — November 4, 2025

Karus Mining Inc. is pleased to announce the appointment of Jason Bahnsen as Chief Executive Officer, effective November 3, 2025.

Alex Gostevskikh has stepped down from his role as Interim CEO to pursue other business interests. The Board expressed its gratitude, noting that under his guidance Karus achieved significant growth and strengthened its foundation following the integration of Theia. Mr. Bahnsen will focus on capital raising, pursuing a Canadian stock exchange listing, and developing the South Cariboo and Mineral Creek properties.

Mr. Bahnsen is a Canadian-Australian mining engineer with more than 35 years in natural resources. His experience includes underground mine contracting in Canada, Indonesia and Australia; production roles at gold operations; feasibility work with Rio Tinto; approximately 15 years in investment banking on resource transactions; and CEO positions at private and public resource companies. He holds a B.Sc. in Mining Engineering from Queen's University and an MBA from the University of New England, Australia.

About Karus Mining

Karus is the 100% owner of the ~995 km² South Cariboo Gold District, which includes the drill-stage FG Gold and Gold Creek projects in British Columbia, and also controls the Mineral Creek gold exploration project, centred approximately 10 kilometres from Port Alberni on Vancouver Island. Karus is the result of the merger of Karus and Theia Gold Corp — Theia having been founded by a number of mining and finance professionals, and Karus having been originally financed by Yamana Gold, whose former executives founded Theia and were instrumental in the merger.
